Microsoft takes on the free world

Two weeks ago, I was at Mix07 in Las Vegas at Microsoft’s invitation, thinking that the world had changed:

Hearing about the importance of being cross platform;
Seeing things like Ruby apps and Apple Macs in a keynote;
Talking to people who think that “Microsoft is now less evil than Google”;
Watching the Pussycat Dolls courtesy of Microsoft.

Then this article comes along to bring me back down to earth.
